Since some of the new identity cards do not include information on the address, a mandatory field in the reports submitted, we would like to point out that the obligation to know the customer is provided for in
Law no. 129/2019 and in secondary legislation (e.g. Regulation 2/2019 of the NBR), and reporting entities must identify solutions to find out the address, for example by using the official RO CEI READER application.
The RO CEI READER application is an official, secure, certified and validated solution by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, made available to institutions and citizens, free of charge, precisely to facilitate the
use of the new identity documents, allowing the reading of data on the CEI, including the home address, and the generation, with the user's consent by entering the PIN by the holder, of a document in .pdf format.
